Many people will experience lower back pain at some point in their lives. This pain can range from being a mild twinge, to a real pain in the ***! Some may even feel a tingling sensation, although some may call this sensation a shooting bolt of lightening – that stems from the lower back/buttocks area right down the leg into their foot. This may be sciatic pain; however, it is imperative not to self diagnose. BUT, there are ways to control this discomfort from the comforts of your own home – no tools required!
Depending on the exact issue as each person’s condition is specific to them, here are a few exercises you can try to help relieve that lower back pain:
- Supine single or double knees to chest
- Supine lumbar rotations
- Supine piriformis stretch
- Bridge
- Bird dog
- Plank
- Sahrmann Abs
If at any point your pain does not settle or worsens, please see your doctor or one of our physiotherapists for advice.
